Engagement Season is Here!

I love it when I get to work with a newly engaged couple!  Sweet, silly, cuddly, and outright adorable. I had the amazing opportunity to design an engagement session for this lovely couple before they say their "I Do's" in Hawaii. Thank you, Cindy, for letting me capture this special moment in your life!  I wish you the best on your tropical wedding.

Jenn & Will's Wedding!!!

Amazing.  That is how I would describe this couple, this wedding, this day. Amazing.

Jenn & Will's wedding was one for the story books.  The details, the venue, the people, and the couple were completely unique and beautiful. From the rustic log cabin that Jenn got ready in to the lake front property the wedding was at, every detail was perfect.  Thank you Carrie Watrous with Events by Carrie for sharing your expertise to make this wedding the charming event it was. 

And thank you Jenn & Will for being completely in love and sharing your vows with us.  We had a great time hanging out with you and documenting your big day.

William + Jennifer's Engagement Session

Several months ago, Steve and I met with an adorable couple, Will and Jenn.  From the moment we met with them, we were struck by their joy, laughter, and love of life.  We instantly connected and couldn't wait to work with them.

the Rice Family

I LOVE summer!  Not only is it the time to bust open the citronella candles and clean off the barbeque, but it's the time to get fun family portraits.  A couple weeks ago, my dear friend Rochelle Rice called  and asked about doing a family portrait session with her husband and kiddos.  Of course I jumped at the chance to work with this adorable family! So we set the date, did a little brainstorming on a theme, and picked the location.  The result, as you can see, was pure joy.  This photogenic family was amazing to work with and I can't wait to work with them again.

Amy's Momma-to-be Session

Almost a year ago, Steve and I had the immense pleasure of capturing Amy & Alex's wedding at the Mitten Building in Redlands, California.  Now, they are expecting not one but two beautiful baby boys.  Hearing their amazing news, I instantly signed on to do their maternity pictures.  Graciously they agreed to make the trek to Big Bear to do the session in our home studio.

The images came out AMAZING!  Of course, it doesn't hurt that the couple is gorgeous.  Anytime I photograph a growing belly, especially one that is growing for the first time, I am overtaken by the pure joy each mother has when she gently places her hands on her belly or the look of excitement on a dad's face when hugs his pregnant wife.  It takes me back to a couple of months ago when I did that very thing to mine.  Children are such a blessing and I wish the best to my dear friends Amy & Alex.  Congrats you two!

 

These images came out incredibly sweet.  We did a couple different backdrops with two completely different feels.  This one is more soft and surreal.  It has an ethereal quality that I love.

  

These images are much for fun + hip.  I love how Amy & Alex's youth and vibrancy come out in these shots.
